From newborns to 5th grade, the children at Generations United Methodist Church are “raised up in the way children should go”…
The Children’s Department of Generations @ Putnam City UMC is constantly stretching and growing seeking ways to share the love of Christ with the little children who mean so much to Him. Every kid is precious and deserves to know that. We have lots of great opportunities to teach them this, and here are a few happening in this spring and summer season! Please let us know if you have any questions, and please don’t hesitate or call or email.
Every Sunday morning 9:30 to 10:30 in children’s wing on the west end of the church – kids come together to spend time getting a deeper understanding of what it means to believe in Jesus. This allows children to ask questions, get answers, and enjoy each other company. We aim to teach key Biblical truths and stories that build a strong foundation by looking at the Bible in multiple creative ways suited to a variety of learning styles. Our volunteers guide each child while creating a safe and loving environment where everyone can cultivate their relationship with Christ!
Every Sunday, children have the opportunity to attend “Holy Word Town” Children’s church where they learn skills and concepts that are foundational to anyone seeking to know Christ deeper, no matter how old one may be. This kid friendly mirror of the adult service also functions as a valuable transition steppingstone for little ones who are not used to the expectations and traditions of a full-blown adult worship service. In “Holy Word Town” Children can have fun and dance while learning the Holy Word!
A great place for kids large and small to make friends and learn more about the world, the scouts span all ages and are constantly active learning new skills, going on camp outs, and having a great time. For more information on scouts see their page and contact the leadership. Boys meet Monday night, Girls on Thursdays.
